A Program of Hope for Heroes TX

Resiliency Reboot

A private path toward healing for those who carry the weight of the call.

First responders are trained to handle the crisis. But the calls, losses, pressure and strain do not always end when the shift does. Resiliency Reboot connects first responders and their families with specialized support, encouragement and a pathway toward healing.

Behind the Badge

The calls end.
The weight does not.

First responders repeatedly encounter danger, grief, injury, violence and loss. They are expected to remain composed in the moment and ready for the next call.

What the public does not always see is what can follow them home: sleepless nights, emotional exhaustion, isolation, marriage strain and the burden of memories that are difficult to explain to anyone outside the profession.

The same men and women who protect our communities should never have to face the aftermath alone.
  • Trauma and cumulative stress
  • Marriage and family strain
  • Isolation and emotional exhaustion
  • Fear of stigma or professional consequences
Training, Connection and Care

What is Resiliency Reboot?

Resiliency Reboot is designed to help first responders recognize the impact of trauma, hear an authentic story of healing and connect with specialized support when they are ready to take the next step.

1

Hear a Real Story

A Hope for Heroes TX first responder shares a personal journey through trauma, the challenges faced and the path toward healing. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask honest questions about trauma, recovery and the concerns they may be carrying.

2

Recognize the Weight

Participants are encouraged to understand the effects of repeated high-stress calls, shift work, trauma and relational strain.

3

Connect With Support

First responders can be connected with licensed counselors who specialize in trauma and marriage counseling.

Why Privacy Matters

Asking for help should not feel like risking a career.

Many first responders hesitate to seek support because they fear stigma, exposure or possible professional consequences.

Resiliency Reboot is designed to provide a private and confidential pathway to specialized support outside the traditional workplace environment. The goal is to help first responders pursue healing with dignity, trust and respect.

Support for Responders and Their Families

Trauma does not affect only the person wearing the badge. Resiliency Reboot recognizes the importance of strengthening marriages and supporting the families who serve alongside them. First responders and their families will also have opportunities to attend Hope for Marriages Conferences for First Responders at no cost or at only a minimal cost.

Care without a financial barrier

Through donor support, Hope for Heroes TX works to make training and counseling resources available at no charge to participating first responders.

The Foundation of Our Mission

There is hope in the middle of the crisis.

Put Christ in the crisis equals hope
Put Christ in the crisis. That equals hope.

Hope for Heroes Texas exists to be servants of Christ by serving the brave men and women who serve the public as first responders. Resiliency Reboot carries that mission into one of the places where hope is needed most: the unseen emotional and relational aftermath of serving others in crisis.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”
Isaiah 41:10
