A Letter From the Williams Family

First and foremost my family and I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone involved with Hope for Heroes for the warm reception and unforgettable weekend experience we were blessed to receive! It truly was a humbling experience. The weekend getaway was much needed.

My family and I enjoyed the beautiful hotel room and accommodations. We really enjoyed reading the cards everyone wrote to us. Boerne Texas is a beautiful place and the love the community has for its first responders was truly felt. Having a wonderful weekend experience to spend with my family was definitely encouraging for me. It further encouraged me to take the time to appreciate that there are still people in our community who support us, our families and each other.

This experience also helped my family to realize that my service to the community is not in vain, and that there is still appreciation from the community for what first responders everywhere do everyday. My family had the opportunity to explore the beautiful area in town and just relax. You can’t put a price on that.

As far as improving the experience, I truly did not see anything to improve. I only say that because we did not expect to receive a beautiful weekend getaway to begin with. We were just grateful to have been chosen for the experience. Thank you all once again for all you do and for choosing my family and I to share this memorable experience!
